Troop 210 Southampton

09/22/2026

Our big project for this year! Working with troop 209 to bring back Camp Cook!

08/07/2026

This year we will be running the dunk tank at Celebrate Southampton. We would like to find some more people from the community to volunteer to take a turn in the tank.

We will be raising money to help rebuild Camp Cook in Easthampton along with Troop 209.

Camp Cook was owned by a scout troop until 1953 when it was deeded to the city of Easthampton for community use. It was used by both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts until the late '90s, but has since fallen into disrepair. We are working with the Easthampton Conservation Commission to bring it back and make it available for community youth organizations like scouts again.

Please come see us on August 15th at Conant Park and support these efforts. And if you are willing to take a turn IN the tank, that would be greatly appreciated as well.

This morning, with the parade canceled on account of rain, Troop 210 attended Southampton’s Memorial Day ceremony along with Pack 210 and Troop 209 from Westhampton.

Special thanks to Gideon Jones for playing Taps and our latest Eagle Scout Trenton Bush for filling in with the town’s color guard.

Congratulations to Southampton’s newest Eagle Scout, Trenton Bush!

You can see the new trailhead kiosks he put up for some of the towns conservation areas.

The scouts had a great time last week at summer camp.

Along with earning merit badges in Animation, Astronomy, Cooking, Environmental Science, Fishing, First Aid, Forestry, Geology, Leatherwork, Motorboating, Painting, Pioneering, Pulp and Paper, R***e Shooting, Small Boat Sailing, Soil and Water Conservation, Space Exploration, Woodcarving, and Woodwork; the scouts played games, swam, got muddy in the swamp romp, practiced their skills, and even had a site visit from a pair of owls.

Special congratulations to:

Zack for winning the underwater knot tying competition

Jon and Issac for taking home both camp awards for the shooting range

Jon again, for taking the camp award for the waterfront

Zack, for being named an honor camper

And all the scouts, for their unbridled enthusiasm
