It’s that time of year again where when your driving down Irish Rd you will see what you think is smoke coming out of this thing. I appreciate the concern of a possible fire, but before you call 911 stop in to the farm and come out to the grain system to look for one of us. Corn is exceptionally wet this year so we are creating a lot of steam when drying. One way to figure out if it’s steam vs smoke coming out of the dryer, is see if the cloud dissipates as it moves away from the dryer. If it does most likely it’s steam and all is good. If it doesn’t then we may have a problem. Also if it’s smoke it may be darker in color. But we really do appreciate the concern and are glad your watching out for us!

2021 Harvest is officially in the books finally!!! Been a long wet harvest.

A sight that never seemed like it was going to happen. We are officially under 100 acres to go! Sure don’t like the cold mornings and either does the equipment! It’s still a slow go but with any luck we will be done Monday or Tuesday.

We are down to our final acres of soybeans! Tomorrow we will be done with them and then get transitioned back into corn.

Well here goes nothing. We put the rest of soybeans on hold for now and going to run corn. Seems like the rain would stop sooner or later.
