Wanders Farms Wanders Farms is a family owned business, connecting farmer to consumer. Our farm is located in Oskaloosa Iowa, and our new locker is in Otley Iowa.

We offer corn finished Black Angus Beef; free of hormones and antibiotics, and locally grown hogs.

Our beef supply is running incredibly low this year, our business is really expanding and our customers are loving local beef!!

Here’s a quick glimpse of how corn silage is made! It’s an ingredient in all of our rations, from 400 pound calves up to our older ladies! (Stock cows, not butcher beef)

Other ingredients in our rations include rye, corn stock bales (for dry material) mineral, and shelled corn!

These ingredients are different for each size group!

If you’re usually one to stock up on fall beef, please call us to get on our list. This may be the first year we actually run out!

No fear though, the next group is almost ready to start going to work with me! 😅💁🏼‍♀️🤣

When I left work today, there were two sets of rollers left! One beef set, one hog set.

This means as SOON as we cut animals out of the cooler, we butcher more the same day and fill it back up!

If you’ve called to get an appointment, we’re full for the year! We have a cancellation list started, we’re nearly over capacity. I promise we’re not ignoring anyone! 😞

I personally can’t even get my own animals in anymore, and I own the locker. 😅

*Please refrain from calling my cell, my office gal is the one who does the scheduling and can confirm appointments, and adjust the cancellation list.

We’re NOT processing deer, we’re NOT selling pork fat, but if we’re processing a hog for you, the fat can be bagged up and saved! 🙌🏼

If you’re looking for a hog through us, there’s only one more date I’m getting hogs in this year, we’re extremely booked!

If you’re looking for beef, I’m running 2-3 weeks out on those.

Today looked like this! I didn’t move from my living room all day!

This week was incredibly busy, we even had a couple emergency, off schedule beef come in that pushed us a little more!

I definitely dipped on the emergency prolapse 🤢 I wasn’t about to smell that and be sick for 5 hours! 🤰🏼

I have the best crew and I’m thankful that I can step back, not show up, and everything runs as it should.

We have plenty of ground beef in stock, plenty of steaks, and lots of other cuts!! We’ll see you tomorrow! 🥩
