Fox and Mare Farmstead We are Fox and Mare Farmstead, a 60 acre farm with 250 chestnut trees and 250 pawpaw trees.

We raise dairy and meat goats, rabbits, quail and would love for you to visit our farmstand outside of Ottumwa, IA or see us at the Fairfield, IA farmers market.

This is whatchya get for today’s morning view. Why? Because it’s not morning yet!!! Market days mean picking fruit at 4am and feedin the kids earlier than normal. They’ll eat and take a nap, but we’ll be on the road to the Fairfield Farmer’s Market!!!

Good morning! This is the view today from the paddock where the kid goats are. Today they are getting moved to another patch to decimate some more rag w**d.

Goats milked ✔️
Quail coops moved ✔️
Turkey coop moved ✔️
Goats fed and watered ✔️

Alright…. Time to feed the dogs, get a shower, and start the day!!!

Not bad for being made from scraps around the shop!

New feeding trough for the kids complete. They destroyed their first plastic tray with over enthusiastic jumping and leaping. This is much more narrow and very portable for when they are moved to new paddocks.
