Hello to all of our Natural Farmacy KC friends! Passing along an update here regarding the upcoming 2023 season.

Farmer Dhan received a cancer diagnosis in late 2022 and he has been going through chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Everything is going well and the prognosis is great! 😊 After discussing with doctors, it has been recommended that Dhan take it easy this season to focus on recovery and rebuilding strength. He hopes to be back in the farm fields in a couple of months, but will be on hiatus from his CSA program for 2023. There is hope to be at one of the local KC farmers markets at some point in the season with later season produce offerings, but at a scaled back capacity. Stay tuned for further updates!

Dhan is a fighter and he’s ready to get back to the rhythm of farm life that he loves dearly.

A huge THANK YOU to all of the Natural Farmacy’s friends and supporters throughout the years - you all make this work of growing healthy food and building community worth it! We will see you soon! ❤️🌱

Did you know: The Natural Farmacy also grows native and pollinator-friendly plants and perennials? While it may not be the biggest portion of items available at market, we always like to share some with friends and also plant some around the farm sites to encourage pollinators to visit and become part of the little ecosystem that’s so vital to successful harvests. Snow rows ❄️ We had to make a quick pivot to cover some plants and protect them from the sharp dip to below freezing temps overnight. Everything looks great today and the warm up this coming week will give greenhouse seedlings a major boost. Spring is around the corner! 🌱
