Field trip! Plant&Soil Science students went to Kansas City Community Gardens and helped the crew with winterizing their garden. Good times were had by all.

Produce sale tomorrow, October 16th! Cold you say? Perfect weather for soup, and do we have the goods! We have minestrone, butternut squash, broccoli & cheese, ham and bean, chicken noodle and chicken tortilla soup, all $10/qt. We harvested 950 pounds of sweet potatoes last week! Snag them up for $2/lb. We will have beautiful romaine lettuce, red butter lettuce, arugula, red beets, tomatoes, peppers, red beets and herbs to order. We are selling 9am-noon, most likely INSIDE the greenhouse. Come on by, 8200 w. 71st in OP. See you soon!

Produce sale tomorrow, 9-12! We will have tomatoes, peppers, onions and potatoes. non-explosive u-kno-what lettuce, radishes and herbs to order. Some carrots and beets, sweet potatoes too but you will have to dig those yourselves.

We also have chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip banana bread, and chocolate chocolate chip loaves.

Soups you ask? We have veggie minestrone, broccoli cheddar and chef Justin’s famous butternut squash soup.

We have a couple more sales for the season. Tomorrow. Two Saturdays from now maybe, and that’s it. You folks that have supported us have been fantastic.

Planning for a produce sale Saturday, rain or shine. May not be any focaccia, we had a kitchen malfunction over the weekend. Soups are a go. Plenty of produce, might even dig up a few sweet potatoes. And for your viewing pleasure, a swallowtail!

Produce sale TODAY!! We will not be selling produce tomorrow with all the rain. We ARE selling today, 9am-2pm inside the Broadmoor Bistro. Walk in the CAA front entrance and make your way into the bistro. We have lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, garlic, onions, beets, carrots and radishes.

Broadmoor Urban Farm Produce Sale tomorrow, 9/19, 9am to noon! 8200 W. 71st in OP. We'll have a variety of tomatoes, peppers, carrots, beets, onions, garlic, potatoes, lettuces, herbs, flower bouquets AND IF YOU COME EARLY some fresh focaccia loaves! We are located behind the glass/aluminum building on the north end of the CAA space.

Drive on back, you can't miss us!

Plenty of parking, no crowds to fight through!

Produce Sale Tomorrow, 9/12!
We will be here 9am to noon selling our produce. What do we have? Tomatoes, herbs, peppers, potatoes, onions, garlic and leeks. From the bistro, we've whipped up two soups this week. Chef Steve made some baked potato soup as well as posole, a traditional mexican soup/stew with pork, red sauce, hominy that is delicious. You can serve it over cilantro and fresh shredded cabbage with lime wedges. Chef Kirsten and Sammie made some blueberry muffins and loaves of banana bread too. Zaia, our resident focaccia expert, is out of town this week but will be back next week! See you on the flip side.

Sad morning here at the farm. A young coyote ate a rodent that had been poisoned. The little dude suffered the same fate. Animal control showed up and put him out of his suffering. I know we all hate the little rodents that eat our gardens or landscaping. It doesn’t offset this little dude dying.
