Hot summer days, nearing the end of July, can only mean one thing... FAIR TIME!... The last eighteen months have been an adventure for our family. Not only did we have all the COVID stuff to worry about, our family had 2 weddings, a Highschool graduation, a collage graduation, an engagement, and my parents favorite, their first grandchild born. Even through the craziness that was/is 2020 and 2021 we took on another endeavor of raising our own goats. This year Puzie, Cindy, and Sally will be showing goats that where born and raised right from our farm.
With much relief the 4-H Fair for Clinton county is still on! It will be different this year, taking on more of a show and go approach. This means animals will not be housed at fair like they have in the past. There are 5 of us showing at Clinton fair this year. First is Puzie AKA(Paula Sue), she will be showing a market steer, lambs, pigs, prospect beef, goats, and chickens. She will be selling her steer, pig and a home grown goat. Next is Steve, he will be showing and selling two pigs. Danny will be showing and selling a pig and a lamb. Now the 2 favorites of the family (besides the new grandkid) Cindy and Sally. Cindy will be showing a steer, Prospect beef, lambs, chickens, and goat (all homegrown) along with a pig she purchased this spring. She will be selling her steer and pig. Sally will be showing her market heifer, prospect beef, sheep, goat, pig, and chickens (all homegrown). She is selling her heifer, pig and goat.
