Our Fig and Olive Tapenade because it belongs on everything and today was no exception. Uncured pancetta, just enough to make the whole situation feel intentional. And the anchor that ties every single element together — our Manzanillo Olive Oil drizzled at the beginning and over then with the entire build right at the end. Did we mention we added garlic stuffed olives for more dramatic effect!?

Unboxing day is our Super Bowl and today did not disappoint.

We (I) may have squealed. Chad can confirm. We (I) are [am] not embarrassed.

We opened the box and honestly stood there for a moment just appreciating them. Our UPS guy commented about the new, and quite frankly pleasant, scent being emitted from his truck.

We need to talk about Bob.

Bob is our iRobot. Bob is supposed to clean the floors. Bob has opinions about this.

Today Bob decided that the threshold between our store and the mall was, in fact, a cliff. A steep and terrifying cliff from which there was no return. He sat there. Motionless. Contemplating his choices. We are not sure how long he had been there before we noticed.

This is not Bob’s first incident.

Some of you may remember the great disappearance of early this year when Bob took a wrong turn, navigated himself out of the store, and was discovered somewhere in the mall living his best life completely unsupervised. No map. No plan. Just vibes and whatever crumbs he found along the way.

He was returned safely. He has not apologized.

Bob is a valued member of the Oviedo Olive Oil team. He shows up every day — eventually. He works independently — perhaps too independently. He does not take direction well but his heart is in the right place.

We think.

If you see a small round robot wandering the mall with the energy of someone who has absolutely nowhere to be — that is Bob. Please send him home. We miss him when he is gone and we are frankly a little afraid of what he gets up to out there.

Good afternoon everyone! Chad from Oviedo Olive Oil here. Now that we sell wine, I feel it is my duty to taste each and everyone one of them to ensure proper quality 😁😁. Today’s bottle is a Viognier ( “V” “Own” “yay”) from Bent Oak Wineries in Texas. I personally had never heard of this type of grape, much less sampled it. Upon opening the bottle, the rich full floral aroma was very pronounced. The taste was light but full bodied. If you like a California Chardonnay, you will love this taste of Texas.
