Meet the three Continental Giant/New Zealand cross kits who have been on quite the journey already! 🥹🐇

These three little ones are the babies we shared with you during our warming method journey. After a rough start, we gave them a chance by using the ziplock bag warming method and doing everything we could to help them pull through. ❤️

We’re so happy to introduce these little fighters to everyone! 🥰 Every tiny life matters, and this experience has been a reminder that sometimes, even when things look uncertain, there is still hope.

We’re taking things one day at a time with these babies and cheering them on every step of the way! 🐰💗

💔 An update after this morning’s post…

Out of the 6 babies, 3 made it. 🐰❤️

As heartbreaking as it is to lose the other 3, we’re holding onto hope for the little ones who are still fighting. They’re warm, they’re being cared for, and we’re doing everything we can to give them a chance.

This is the side of raising rabbits that people don’t always see. Sometimes, even when you do everything you can, things don’t go the way you hoped. And sometimes, the tiniest little fighters surprise you. 🥹

For now, we’re taking it one moment at a time and focusing on the 3 little lives we still have.

🐰 The Part of Rabbitry No One Really Talks About… 💔

Not every kindling goes as planned, and sometimes motherhood doesn’t come naturally the first time around.

Our first-time momma did a beautiful job building her nest, but unfortunately, she delivered her babies on the opposite side of the cage. As a result, the babies weren’t where they needed to be to stay warm and protected.

Right now, we’re doing everything we can to give these little ones a fighting chance using the ziplock bag warming method. 🤍

One thing we’ve learned is that we don’t give up on a baby just because it feels cold. Cold babies can sometimes be revived. We’re working to warm them carefully and watching for signs of life. They aren’t considered gone until they’re warm and unresponsive.

Rabbitry isn’t always cute baby pictures, fluffy noses, and happy announcements. Sometimes it’s long nights, hard decisions, heartbreak, learning experiences, and doing everything in your power to save a tiny life.

This is the reality of raising animals. There are beautiful moments, but there are also moments that test your heart and teach you lessons you’ll never forget.

Please keep these little ones in your thoughts. We’re hoping for the best and giving them every chance we can. 🐰🤍

🐰💕 Happy International Rabbit Day! 💕🐰

Today we’re celebrating the little fluffy faces that bring so much joy, personality, and love into our lives! 🥰

For us at Pine Valley Farms, rabbits are so much more than just adorable animals. They’re family, and every one of them has their own unique personality, quirks, and place in our hearts. ❤️

International Rabbit Day is a reminder to love, respect, and advocate for rabbits—whether they are cherished family pets, beloved show rabbits, or part of a responsible breeding program. Rabbits deserve proper nutrition, safe housing, veterinary care, enrichment, gentle handling, and, most importantly, a lifetime of commitment. 🐇

Our four little stars pictured here are Ember, Aurora, Willow & Pollux. Each one is different, but together they represent exactly why we love this breed so much. From tiny baby Ember to our adults, watching them grow, develop their personalities, and become part of our program is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. 🥹💕

And that’s really the reasoning behind celebrating today: rabbits deserve to be understood, appreciated, and treated as the amazing companion animals they are—not simply as cute animals to own.

So give your bunny an extra treat, a forehead kiss, some enrichment, and a little extra love today! 🥕❤️

We are so excited to announce that PV’s August Mist, our beautiful pedigreed Mini Plush Lop doe born August 17, 2026, has officially been reserved for the Odell family! 🥰

This little girl has already stolen our hearts, and we couldn’t be happier knowing she’ll be heading to such a wonderful home. 💕 We can’t wait to watch her grow and see all the love and happiness she brings to her new family!
