Some evenings, after the bees have settled and the garden goes quiet, I like to set the kettle on and open a jar of honey as if I were uncorking a fine bottle of wine. ✨⁠

Younger folks are often surprised to learn that honey carries the memory of where it came from: wildflowers, clover fields, orange blossoms, deep summer woods. No two are ever quite alike. Your skin is about to smell like the best day the bees ever had.

That's Nectar+Honey. Not honey candy, not floral perfume: real honey crystals in the scrub, our own honey in the butter, and a honey and flower scent that's sweet without being cloying.

Scrub first, on damp skin, and let the sugar and honey crystals dissolve as you go. Then the butter, warmed between your palms, melts in within about thirty seconds. The scent stays close for the first hour and settles into something you only catch when you move.

Happy National Aviation Day to the pilots we answer to. 🐝

The finest aviators we know are on our farm. They weigh less than a paperclip and never file a flight plan. ✈️

To fill a single jar, our bees log roughly 55,000 miles and visit close to two million flowers. That's twice around the earth, one bloom at a time.
No radar, no runway. Just a set of wings beating 200 times a second and an instinct for exactly where the nectar is. 🍯

This World Honey Bee Day, we're focusing on what the bees provide to us. Honey brings us together at the table, and when you taste that sweetness, you can't help but smile.

Our Apple Blossom Honey is a great example. It's made early in spring, before anything else has flowered. The bees have one short season to work with the single bloom. That one ingredient is the key to their recipe, and it's why this honey tastes like nothing else we make.

There are wings in our waters, but the kids are screaming SHARK! 😱

Every June, somebody on the Bay swears they've seen a shark fin. The good news is, they haven't.

Watching the rays at our shore reminded me of what happened the summer I had a boat full of kids screaming about a shark in the water — I sent this footage to them all first, twenty years later!

Before there's coffee, there's a blossom. ☕

Small, white, and rich with nectar, coffee flowers bloom in the Guatemalan highlands in the cool months before the rains. Honeybees work them the way they work everything: thoroughly. The bees leave with nectar. The plants get better pollination and more even, well-ripened cherries. Everyone's cup improves.

What comes back to the hive doesn't taste like coffee. It tastes like the blossom itself: warm caramel, a full, almost waxy body, sweetness that unfolds in layers. Our Coffee Blossom Honey is raw, minimally filtered, and limited to what the harvest allows.
