The Cook Farm

The Cook Farm Small family farm in the Adirondacks practicing regenerative agriculture. Home of Cooks' Country Store.

We are a small family farm operating on 26.5 acres in the northern Adirondacks, just beneath Owls Head Mountain. Although we are best known for our handcrafted goat’s milk soaps, we also produce pasture raised meats, free range eggs, and seasonal produce. We are passionate advocates for regenerative agriculture and growing resiliency in the local food system.

What is a CSA, anyway?🧅🌽🍅 CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. When you join a CSA, you purchase a share of a farm’s harvest at the start of the season and receive fresh vegetables each week as they’re harvested. Your membership helps farmers cover the early season costs of seeds, supplies, and labor, and in return you get fresh, local food picked at its peak all season long. Our farm’s 20 week vegetable CSA runs through the main growing season and includes a rotating selection of whatever is fresh and abundant each week, from lettuce and carrots to tomatoes, peppers, and squash. It’s a great way to eat seasonally, support local agriculture, and stay connected to the farms that feed you. We have options available to make our vegetable CSA shares affordable for all families. Learn more on our website: https://cookfarmny.com/shop/p/vegetable-csa-share-1

Participants in our vegetable CSA (community supported agriculture) program will receive 20 weekly shares of fresh, organically grown produce from our farm. Each week’s share consists of approximately 6 different seasonal produce items, customized based on your tastes. The 2026 vegetable CSA seaso...

If you’re curious about the behind-the-scenes challenges of building a local food system, you can read the full story on our website.

As we’ve been preparing to open our new retail space, Cooks’ Country Store, we’ve been having conversations with farmers and food producers from all across the North Country. Through those conversations, we’ve found a great selection of products that will complement our farm’s own offering...
