And just like that, Blueberry pollination in North Carolina has come to an end! This year our pollination team successfully distributed a total of 4,124 hives in 5 different orchards!! Did you know that there are 16 buds that develop from every flower on a blueberry bush which if pollinated correctly will lead to the development of a blueberry; on average a blueberry bush will produce 2,000-6,000 blue berries a year, that’s roughly 5-10lbs from a single bush! 🫐

Our pollination team will now continue their way up the East Coast with Blueberry pollination in Maine and make their way to NY for Apple and numerous other crops! 🐝🍎🍏🫐

As of 9am on 4/9/2026, our team, led by owners Octavio and Sonia, along with 16 dedicated workers, has successfully completed pulling 958 splits. This process included pulling the splits, transporting them 30 miles to mating yards, distributing the Nucs, introducing new queen cells, and feeding. Within the next 30 days, these nucs will develop into strong starter colonies ready for sale. Although our earliest Nucs are sold out, we currently have nucs available for purchase with pick-up dates in late April/ early May. Give us a call at 607-843-8822 to place your orders! 🐝

Spring 2026 is in full swing, and our Nucs and Queens team is working tirelessly. Here are some key updates from our team:

March 13 marked the beginning of our Nucs and Queens season; as of today, we have completed 7 scheduled nuc pick-ups in SC with our first semi heading to NY this week. Our team is committed to meeting our annual quota of 10,000 nucs, with a daily production target of 700-800 nucs.

Each nuc consists of:
3-4 frames containing eggs, larvae, and brood
1-2 frames of honey and pollen
A Kutiks K9 queen
A thriving colony of worker bees.

Our K9 queens are now available for purchase and can be shipped Monday through Wednesday via next-day air. Our queens are bred for their desirable traits, including mite resistance, hygienic behavior, honey production capabilities, prolific laying, and winter hardiness.
