Here are the new versions of beer we’ll have on tap tomorrow, Tuesday, April 7th, 6-9pm at our Misrule Brewing Launch Party at Gaslight Brewhouse!

- Bro Hugs, hazy IPA
- Cradle of Kölsches, kölsch
- Velvet Buzz, milk stout with chocolate, honey, and cherry
- Foggy Notion, steam beer
- Da Bomb, cider with raspberries, strawberries, black currents, and blackberries

Free appetizers, live music. A huge thanks to the Gaslight Brewhouse crew for supporting our Oxford nanobrewery and making this possible.

It’s National Beer Day, so come join us to celebrate great locally brewed craft beer and cider!

We at Misrule Brewing have been working on 2026 batches of Bro Hugs (hazy IPA) and Velvet Buzz (stout with chocolate, cherry, and honey), along with some new ciders and meads. Our fourth batch of Cradle of Kölsches is actively fermenting right now, and we have a few other spring surprises coming up.

We'll be back soon, bigger and better than ever. Not only will we be at Oxford's Bee Fest April 18th, but we'll also be launching several beers and a cider at an Oxford taproom in a couple of weeks.

Stay tuned for the location and date for our inauguration party. We're looking forward to raising a pint with you soon. Cheers!

The last day Misrule beer will be sold in the 31 W High Street taproom
(in front of Bello pizza) will be this Wednesday, December 31st, 2025.

While this year has had its challenges, it’s been a true joy to serve
Oxford its own craft beer in 2025. We’re already at work on our next
chapter for the coming year. Misrule lives on!

We feel deeply grateful to everyone who has come in to grab a pint (or
three), to all those who have joined us for festivals, and especially
to the incredible team of Misrule bartenders who made our transition
from a small upstart in a barn to an uptown taproom possible. Shout
out to Judy M, Amanda L, Annie W, Tristin B, Isaac A, Grace M, Anna C,
and Jack E. What a pleasure it has been to work with all of you, we
couldn’t have asked for a more capable and engaging face of Misrule
these last nine months!

We also want to thank our Bello friends and wish them all the best.

To our brewers and partners, Brandon N, Mark & Amy L, Jim G, Ehren,
Sarah, Will & Benji, Kelly M, Andrew, Tim, Tom C & Jonas, Candace,
Darrin, & Joe, Tyler & Jackson, and Michael C. For decades, we’ve
heard how wonderful the beer community is, but the generosity and
support we’ve experienced firsthand have exceeded anything we could
have expected. It has been an overwhelming delight, and we are deeply
grateful. We hope to pay that generosity back, and forward, in the
years ahead.

Special thanks to Quinn D and Patrick W, our trusted taproom advisors.
Terrific barkeeps in their own right, these two have been the engine
that has made Misrule hum behind the scenes. We are so grateful for
all you have done.

A very special thanks to Amanda and Carrie who have supported us in
millions of ways throughout this journey.

'Tis the season of Saturnalia, the origin of Misrule. Come join us for
a Feast of Fools special until we kick our last kegs. $5 pints in our
taproom today (Sunday) and Wednesday (New Year's Eve) until we run dry.

Cheers to all our friends, patrons, and regulars, it has been such a
pleasure to serve all of you this year and look forward to doing so
again in new places next year!

Happy birthday to us! Come celebrate Misrule Brewing’s 2-year anniversary this weekend! We’ll have a new festbier and a new cider on tap at our taproom (inside Bello Pizza) and at Oxtoberfest tomorrow, Saturday 9/13 (1-8pm) at Oxford's Uptown Park!

We'll have the following brews on tap for the occasion:
1 – OXtoberfest: a festbier, an amber lager traditionally enjoyed at Oktoberfest celebrations - a collaboration with our buds at The Common.
2 - Pie Hard: a cider with cherry, cranberry, orange zest, and spices - a collaboration with our pals at Northwood Cider.
3 - Cradle of Kolsches: our flagship kolsch, an easy drinking, light ale - thanks to our friends at Municipal for making it possible.

I finally made my way over to the taproom in Oxford at and no surprise. It’s freaking great (pizza thoughts incoming later after I eat my goetta hot honey pizza…) - great little bar, wonderful service… and the beer is spot on. This tastes like a space that knows exactly how to sit in the sweet spot between a bar in a college town, catering towards students looking for something “better” and people just looking for a great beer in a small town. This is going to quickly become a favorite for me!

While Bello Pizza is closed for summer vacation, Misrule's taproom remains open for the next three days: 4:30-9pm today, Friday, and Saturday.

Oxford's Misrule Brewing has three new beers on tap, all Oxford brewed!

Tomorrow (6/21) at 6:30pm, we are tapping our pilot batch of Long Live Mike Curme!, a bright West Coast IPA (6.5%) to honor our friend and his love of dankness.

Nutumbra is an imperial stout with hazelnuts (11.1%), a black celestial ale in reminiscence of Oxford's 2024 eclipse, on tap now.

And, for adventurous palates, we have Uptown Funk (6.9%), a farmhouse brett beer, brewed with Oxford grown hops and wild yeast for an incredibly unique and funky experience. Funky, sour, fruity, and barny. Uptown funk you up!
