Shady Acres Hobby Farm Hi! Welcome to our little slice of Heaven, Shady Acres. Our Hobby Farm in Oxford, MI that started in January 2023!

We raise pedigreed English Lops and enjoy the company of our horses, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, guinea hens, cats, rabbits and dogs!

But “New Kid” has really stepped up. He’s turned into the sweetest guy and has done such a good job watching over everyone.

I’ve honestly had such good luck with sweet roosters. We respect them, they respect us, and in return they take their job seriously.

It’s been really cool watching New Kid grow into such a confident, ruthless little protector while still being gentle with his people. 🐓

It’s hard to explain to people what it’s like living on a farm…. But here it goes, I have dinosaurs that come to my door and scream every morning while I’m drinking coffee… mind you, they’ve already been fed. They just want my attention and to make sure I didn’t forget about them.
