Found a sweet little surprise this morning! Everyone met our first dun colored heifer, Sadie Mae 💕 Twisted J Farms
Days like this make owning a farm worth every second of feeding in the rain, breaking ice in freezing temperatures or sweating my tail off while bush hogging through out the year. I love calving season.

If you have live stock and you don’t own a Great Pyrenees, you should!! Not a moment of training ever, he was raised on this farm and has defended his pastures like a champ since he was a puppy!! No rodent or predator stands a chance against Sir Maxwell! The cows and horse (sounded like a fire breathing dragon) were running in circles and Max was keeping them all away from this one particular spot so I went to check it out, I found Max keeping everyone away from this nasty large possum that he was in the process of taking to the train station! Good Dog!!! 🐶

Finally after waiting 5 years for a little black heifer to be born on the farm, she was born today!! Our last calf of the season. I need your help to decide her name, please choose between Aspen or Willow……..
