We won’t be open for tours this year so we can be with family, but there’s still plenty for your family to do and see during Christmas in the Country in Oxford!

Oxford's Christmas in the Country takes place on Friday, Nov. 29 and Saturday, Nov. 30 in the city of Oxford, which is southeast of Wichita.

We need to support the hard working farmers and chefs who go the extra mile to provide and prepare truly special locally grown food!

We sent out more beautiful summer crops today: yellow and white patty pan; crook-neck; zucchini; pale yellow and dark purple bell peppers; slicer cucumbers; slicer and cherry tomatoes; yellow currant tomatoes; Italian eggplant; parsley; basil; cilantro (in this heat!); butter lettuce heads, and squash blossoms.

Chefs have to be pretty dedicated to supporting the budding local food movement by buying from specialty crop farms like ours instead of the corporate food-supply companies because it takes extra effort, planning, and coordination in their already busy days.

We are getting a little splutter of rain right now, but we think it will end pretty quickly and not effect our market tomorrow. Our market is held in our farm yard, which is nice, but it can get muddy and cause parking problems when it rains. If it rains more later tonight, we may have to go to our rain site across the street. Please check here on our page or in the event discussion for last minute changes or updates due to weather.
