🎨 Vendor Spotlight: Rod Ackerman Paintings 🎨

You know we love filling the market with local talent, and Rod Ackerman definitely brings something special to the lineup.

Rod creates beautiful original paintings that somehow make you stop, stare, and suddenly decide you probably do need another piece of art for your house. Funny how that happens. 😂

We love having artists at the market because they bring so much personality and creativity alongside the produce, flowers, baked goods, and handmade items. There’s just something fun about going home with both tomatoes and a painting.

Be sure to stop by Rod’s booth this Saturday and check out his work in person. You might come for vegetables and leave planning where to hang a painting.

🌸 Vendor Spotlight: Little Creek Valley 🌸

You all know we have a soft spot for flower farmers around here, so this week we’re spotlighting Little Creek Valley, owned by Brad and Shelly Brubaker.

They grow beautiful seasonal flowers and create arrangements for weddings, events, markets, and more. Basically… they’re the kind of people who also look at an empty field and think, “You know what this needs? Thousands of flowers.” 😂

We love getting to share the market with other growers who understand the excitement of the first blooms, the panic over weather forecasts, and the struggle of keeping flowers alive through Ohio summers.

Be sure to stop by and see what they brought this week. There’s always room for more flowers in your house. Always. 🌸

It’s been one of those weeks where you walk outside, immediately start sweating, and question every life choice that led you to farming. 🥵

But somehow, despite the heat, our farmers, bakers, makers, and growers have been out there harvesting, baking, creating, and getting ready for market.

So tomorrow morning, skip the grocery store and come see what your local vendors have been working so hard to bring you.

Fresh produce, local meats, baked goods, flowers, artisan products, and plenty of friendly faces who survived this week’s heat wave.

We’ll be at the Oxford Farmers Market Uptown from 9am-Noon.

What’s one thing you’re hoping to find at market tomorrow?

This week’s vendor spotlight shines on the incredibly talented Amy Wood - owner of two creative businesses that perfectly blend artistry, craftsmanship, and personality.

At Petals and Patchwork, Amy specializes in beautifully handmade sewn goods, creating pieces that are both functional and full of charm. Her attention to detail and love for craftsmanship show in every stitch. From thoughtfully designed fabric creations to one-of-a-kind handmade items, her booth is always worth a stop.

Amy is also the owner of Marlowe and Co, where she creates custom burned hats that are true wearable art. Each hat is uniquely designed with intricate burned details, making every piece completely original and personalized. Whether you’re looking for something western-inspired, trendy, rustic, or totally custom, Amy brings creativity and skill to every design.

Supporting small businesses like Amy’s means supporting real handmade craftsmanship, creativity, and passion. Be sure to stop by and check out both of her amazing businesses at the market -you’re guaranteed to find something special!

Berry excited for this Saturday’s market? Yeah…we went there. 🍓🫐

Our vendors understood the assignment and have apparently decided that “berry themed” means absolute culinary chaos in the best possible way. Expect farmers, bakers, makers, and artisans showing up with all kinds of berry-inspired creations and enough temptation to ruin your grocery budget before 9:15.

Fresh berries. Berry baked goods. Berry things you didn’t even know could become berry flavored. Honestly, we’re a little concerned for everyone’s self control.

Come wander the market, grab breakfast, support local businesses, and pretend you’re “just looking” before leaving with an armful of treats and at least one thing you absolutely did not plan to buy.

✨ Vendor Spotlight: Bwimm Goods ✨

If you’ve ever thought, “I should probably just get one loaf…” and then left with bagels, muffins, cinnamon rolls, and three extra things you didn’t plan on buying… you’ve probably visited Bwimm Goods. 😅

Owned by Brittney Wimmer, Bwimm Goods is serving up homemade sourdough breads, bagels, muffins, pop tarts, cinnamon rolls, and all kinds of baked goodness made from scratch with quality ingredients and long-fermented sourdough.

From jalapeño cheddar loaves to peach cobbler muffins and the famous “looks-like-a-chicken-nugget” cinnamon sugar bagel bites, there’s always something creative (and delicious) on the menu. 🥯🍞✨

Come hungry… and maybe bring a backup bag for all the carbs you’re about to buy. 😉
