Swanson Cattle Company Our promise to you is, “NO BULL”, just the REAL DEAL. We are a Nebraska family-owned business with three generations of farming and ranching experience.

Selling 100 head of bulls each year right in our back yard. Swanson Cattle specializes in raising Balancer and Angus cattle for Nearly 40 years and having a yearly sale right in our back yard, selling over 100 head of bulls. We have been in the Gelbvieh breed since 1984. Then later started raising balancers going back to before they were called balancers. We have fed 40 plus pens of raised cattle

over the years. The cattle normally gain from 3.5 to 4.0 pounds a day, yield from 64 to over 65%. We have pens grading from 90 to 100% choice or better, conversions as low as 5.10. Last year we had a pen command a $149 a head premium. Our cows are strictly culled for disposition, feet, and udders. These females also have a lot of carcass merit, maternal instincts, performance with a lot of calving ease. We are excited about the Howard 101H and the RIP 172G sire groups. These cattle pass on muscle, fleshing ability, soundness in a complete package. These bulls will sire top notch feeder calves and excellent replacement heifers with a program behind them. The bulls are developed on a ration to grow them towards their potential. This drought has made it difficult and we appreciate our loyal customers and friendships. With the recent moisture we hope that the drought is beginning to break. We should see incredible prices when it does. We look forward to spending the day with you and serving you lunch. Our Story

Welcome to our 33rd annual production Sale. For 38 years we have worked on building our cow herd to perfection. Although we feel like we have an outstanding set of bulls and heifers offered for sale each year, we never give up trying to improve on our stock. Our goal is to produce the most efficient breeding stock on the market today, and share that stock with the other Gelbvieh, Balancer, Angus, SimAngus, and Red Angus breeders. This year 2020 we will have approx. 70 Balancer and SimAngus Bulls, also featuring 15 big stout virgin 2 year old Red Angus Bulls and 7 - 2 year old Angus and Balancer that we used in our commercial program.

We have another strong set of Bulls to offer you in 2020. We Consistently have closeouts with A.D.G.'s of 3.5 to 3.8, cattle that grade 90-100% choice with a high percentage of 1's and 2's and convert from 5.6 to 5.9. That’s what tastes good and what makes money. There is alot of calving ease, maternal traits, performance and carcass bred in these cattle.
