Its been 9 months since we sold the Dairy Cows, time sure flies. Luckily, Rich has gotten some much needed rest and relaxation.

With that, we wanted to share some of the things the boys have been up too.

Brent planted some new fruit trees, Rich & Lucas spent a week fixing the Rock Retaining wall that Rich loves so much and the Ranch house is getting a new paint job.

This is the hardest announcement we've ever posted. After 154 years we are officially out of the Dairy Business. Today our girls loaded up onto trucks and headed to Circle M Dairy in Texas. It's been a heartbreaking day for sure but it's time for Rich to get some long over due rest. Best wishes to Circle M Dairy. Now, on to new ventures for us.

The workload on the Dairy is tremendous but every now and then we need to take a second to appreciate why we are in the Dairy business. THIS right here is one example. Cadence has been a valuable asset on the Ranch as an employee, a 4-Her and all around country gal. She bought a Dairy Calf from us almost two years ago & named her Fancy. Fancy came back to the Ranch last year to be breed. We are excited to report Fancy is a new mama to twin heifer calves, Dolly and Loretta. We couldn't be anymore excited. And the future grows......

The girls have been bugging for a goat for over 6 years. Well here he is Scott the Goat. Isn't he the cutest??? He doesn't look to happy with his new room mate Sandy the Jersey Heifer calf. Welcome Scott to Wetherell Ranch.

Good morning all. It's been a while since we posted anything. We are all safe, healthy and happy here on the Farm. It's funny, it's become obvious to us that we already lived a mostly social isolated life, only going to town for supplies and essentials, so not too much has changed here for us. The exciting news is.......it's calving season and boy do we have some cuties this year.

We can't remember a time when there has been more Activity here at the Ranch. Michelle has had all the 4H kids working on projects for more than a week in preparation for the Fair. We are so proud of all these kids! Shout out to Talyn, Cadence, Emma, Elli, Harleigh, Hailey, Caroline, Timber, Layton, Mason & Taylee. These are just a few of the 4H kids we have had the pleasure of working with. Way to go kids. And the future grows...........

Employee Spotlight. Lucas is every boss's dream. He is BIG, young & STRONG. Lucas had been with us for about a year now. He is Rich's main Farm Hand in the mornings and on his days off no one can fill those size 15 shoes. Lucas always comes to work with a smile and a ready to get it done attitude. On his off time he is studying Law Enforcement at College of the Redwoods. This guy is worth his weight in Gold. Say Hi to Lucas Gugliemini.

Employee Spotlight. We don't have enough positive things to say about this guy. Lupe has been with us for 5 years. He is our Chief Herdsman & is vital to our day to day operations. He knows each Dairy Cow in the herd like they were his pets. He came to us with years of Dairy experience, knows the best care practices for our girls and is a perfect fit at the Farm. Lucky for us he has what Rich calls 'Cow Sense'. Thanks Lupe, we could not do it with you. And the future grows...........

Employee Spotlight. Cadence joined the Wetherell Ranch team almost 3 years ago. Wanting to ignite the love of farming Spark inside this young girl we decided to find work for her around the Farm. She could not even pull the barn cleaning hose thru out the barn when she started. She has grown both in size ,she can take that hose anywhere now & farming knowledge over the last few years. Last year she halter broke a mature Dairy cow in 3 weeks and won the title of Grand Champion Dairy Cow at the DN County Fair. This is Cadence in her 4H gear with her Horse Star visiting Tractor Supply after the 4th of July Parade yesterday. This girl here is going to move mountains, you watch. We are so proud to have her as part of our team. A big Salute to Cadence. And the future grows.......
