We are happy to announce our collection of large format oils from Vietnamese artists Do Van Binh, Le Hoan, Pham Ha Duy Khanh, and Nguyen Hoang Lam. Beledor cofounders, Kevin Colas and Kate Walling, both have pieces from these artists in their homes. These works were the very beginning of The Beledor Collection, and we hope you enjoy them.

We currently have 7 of these pieces available, ranging from $2100 - 3600. Beledor’s pieces range for now between $500 and $30,000.

Two years ago my friend Kate Walling started building Beledor, an art startup, in a technology accelerator in the Silicon Valley while I was working ont the Art & Victus concept. It was a wild ride for the both of us and we ended up deciding to put both projects on hold while keeping domains and emails.

But those two ideas are having a revival lately... on top of the consumer VC firm Explorations Ventures we are launching with Shawn Biega and Hap Klopp. I’ll tell you more about the Art&Victus revival when I, Shawn and his friend chef Mark Estee will have made more progresses. For now let’s stay on Beledor...

Realizing in September, the opportunity, during a diner, of recreating the original idea of Kate after I shown her some pieces I bought in Hanoi, we decided to relaunch Beledor. We are rebuilding Beledor as an online contemporary art gallery with a global selection of emerging artists curated by us an a network of selected scouts. We got our first shipment of Vietnamese oils several weeks ago, a piece from Mark Matin at SF Opens Studios, a great event on 5 weekends organized by ArtSpan and a cool piece from Nikki Vismara, a friend of Kate and talented SF Hunter’s Point based artist. If you are interested, please follow Beledor on FB and Instagram handle and sign up to our landing page @ www.beledor.com to receive notices of Beledor’s news. We will be launching in early 2018.

Many thanks to Tim Sauder for all his support and help on Beledor! He is part of the Beledor team now, can’t get out... sorry... “The Frenchman”, my nickname what can I say..., Kate alias “Mary”, Tim alias “Timmy” and hopefully the help of great travelling art loving scouts we thought about including Didier Alerini in Switzerland, France and Latam, Renaud Marion for wherever his camera brings him, Yasmin Rzg in France, North Africa and the Middle East, Clémentine Lemaitre and Raphaël Secret in France and Switzerland, and Benjamin Schneider in Switzerland, France and Russia. And we’ll get work anywhere we travel too in the US or abroad... next scouting grounds for me this year for me Utah, Manila and Tokyo...

Great place to try in the valley... http://frenchmorning.com/goudys-charcuterie-made-in-silicon-valley/
Shared by my old friend Benjamin Schneider, I am so glad to learn the existence of that place that I will definitely try this weekend asap. I miss so much European charcuteries and especially my dear and many French cured meats and pates! Fantastic initiative by that French couple to bring quality artisanal production in the SF Bay Area where real artisanal food meaning small batch hand made and respectful of a documented tradition and terroir origins, is rare in cheese making, charcuterie and fine grocery in general. Artisanal products are not plastic wrapped and tasting products found in general in shops and even most booth of local farmers markets. This is this, pure pleasure hand made with care for taste above all and quality of ingredients. Doing French traditional products with American sourced ingredient is a way to unify local economic interests while developing the taste of local palates and senses.
The dormant Art & Victus project is again strengthen in meaning and relevance by such initiatives...
