It is midnight and I’m still out in the coops cleaning. Why? Because we got a lot of rain this week and I refuse to let my birds stand in wet bedding.
I’d much rather be in my comfortable bed with my senior cat curled up next to me… but that wouldn’t be fair to them.
Good animal husbandry means working all day, coming home and putting in another six hours because that’s what your animals deserve. It’s the late nights, sore backs, muddy boots and doing the hard things even when nobody sees it.
Because at the end of the day… I will always put my animals first ❤️
