Figured out what the heck to do with the GIANT Napa cabbage and the pound of lion’s mane waiting in the fridge!!

Mushroom “poke” and cabbage slaw with sautéed beans, onion, and shredded carrot. This plate happens to be heading off to feed the five year old. He sure is a lucky little boy!

Updates are few and far between this summer. So here’s a mid-summer check in.
Everyone asks us, “how’s farm life?”
It’s difficult to find the words to describe the steady flow of summer. I recently described it as “we’re just in cruise control.” Daily tasks just get done. Food deliveries and markets come and go. Kids play in the sunshine. Everyone is happy. No complaints.

🚨REMINDER🚨

To all members: NO CSA this upcoming Tuesday or Saturday (August 5 and 9). We’re taking the kids backpacking as a last hurrah before everyone goes back to school in a couple of weeks. This marks week 9 and half way through the season. We’ll see you for week 10 pick up August 12 and 16.
