One of the sweetest members of the grass family. 🌾😌

Sugarcane is a perennial grass, meaning it can regrow after harvest and produce another crop without being replanted. Pretty impressive, if you ask us. 🌱

We want to give a well-deserved shoutout to a longtime friend of Florida agriculture!

Congratulations to Publix Super Markets, named the 2026 Customer of the Year at the Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association’s 82nd Annual Convention in Naples! 👏

RC Hatton was honored to be among those who nominated Publix for this recognition. For more than four decades, we’ve been grateful to team up with Publix to bring fresh, Florida-grown sweet corn from our fields to their stores. 🌽

Through the years, we’ve been especially grateful for their continued support of American farmers, their commitment to giving back, and the difference they make in the communities we call home.

Thank you, Publix, and congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! 💚

For best results, the following should be read in your finest nature documentary narration. 😌🎙️

Deep in the Everglades Agricultural Area, we find the rather rare and unmistakably pink Roseate Spoonbill… casually sweeping the shallows for its next meal. 🌾

Its unusual spoon-shaped bill is no mere fashion statement. Moving it from side to side through the water, the spoonbill snaps it shut the moment it detects small fish, shrimp or other prey.

And that magnificent pink plumage? Also no coincidence. Like its flamingo cousins, the spoonbill gets its rosy hue from pigments found in the foods it eats. 🦩

With a U.S. range limited largely to South Florida and portions of the Gulf Coast, spotting one is something special. 🕵️‍♂️

And while the Roseate Spoonbill may be the star of this particular scene, the credit belongs to floridafarming for capturing such an incredible glimpse into the wild. 🎥

Consider this our regularly scheduled corn appreciation post.

There’s just so much to appreciate… the vibrant color, that sweet crunch, the perfectly aligned rows, the juicy kernels, the protective husks, the endless versatility, the fact that there are about 800 kernels on one ear… 🤩

We really could go on and on. Stay tuned! 😌🌽
