bies. We feel this is the best method of developing the highest quality seedstock in the shortest period of time. It also allows us tremendous flexibilty in balancing production, maternal, and carcass traits. We are not tied to reproducing the offspring of the same bulls year after year. We research bulls throughout the states and find which ones that we deem to have the best fit for our breeding objectives. One of the qualities we demand in our animals is docility. All of our bulls and heifers are bred with the highest docility levels in the country. Since our company isn't huge, we are able to give the necessary attention to the calves so they adapt to being handled at an early age. Bulls and heifers are sent through our chute and judged for handling; almost all have scored 5, with a couple 4s. But don't get the idea that we raise "show" cattle. The ultimate goal is to produce range bulls of the highest order at affordable prices which can handle the conditions of our climate and topography. Remember, the best guage of a bull's value to a cow-calf operator is the dollar value of pounds weaned compared to the number of cows exposed during breeding season.
