The beautiful colors of fall are starting to show up all around the farm. Today’s beauty is “Bloody Butcher” Dent Corn. We’ve been watching these huge stalks grow all summer, and today the corn was finally ready to be picked. After it dries completely, I’ll be grinding it in my grain mill this winter to make cornbread. I can’t wait!

Late August on the farm is always a busy time. We wanted to share a few pictures of what’s been happening on Curvy Creek these last few weeks!

Edit:* We are sold out of cinnamon rolls.

We are set up at the Farmers’ Market today from 2 until around 5.
I have a few cinnamon rolls ready to go. The rolls are $2.50 a piece or $8.00 for the package.
We still have plenty of our “summer pull” honey. Hope you stop by to see us. ❤️

Bee swarm on Curvy Creek Farm.

We had a small swarm show up this morning. Catching bee swarms is something we really enjoy and value. It’s always interesting to see where it ends up. This one made its way to a cornstalk. 🐝🌽🥰

Curvy Creek Farm will be set up at The Homesteaders Market on Saturday from 9-12.

Come spend some time on a Saturday morning with lots of great folks…
it’s definitely worth the short drive to Blaine!!!!!

There’s such a variety of homesteaders who have all come together in this great community event. It’s local families, local farms, and local people who are working hard to keep the old-fashioned skills of growing things, raising animals, baking, preserving, and “making things” alive.
