Felt good to get the next generation (plus a toad) out helping work calves! Yes, we have to slow down to teach them, but isn’t that kinda the point? Blessed to have them here to learn and hopefully grow into the next wave of Whisman Red Angus!

Only 45% of extremely over-conditioned bulls pass their breeding soundness exam, compared to 81% of bulls with just adequate body condition. Too much fat impairs production of testosterone and interferes with s***matogenesis. There will be more abnormalities in his s***m.

Pelvic measured the heifers yesterday!! Can anyone guess how many are in this group?? First one to get it right on the Facebook reel gets a hat from us! If no one gets it spot on, I’ll find the closest guess on Sunday and they’ll be the winner!

Little Amsterdam bull calf from a King Arthur second calf heifer decided he was pretty big stuff this morning and came to investigate while we rolled out a few bales! Brisk 9° to start the day, but the week is looking warmer!
