Two Lick Tiny Grocery opened November 16, 2016 on Garfield Road in the PeeWee area. Over the years, I’ve tried to bring the community great prices and a variety of products. It was started due to my mom being sick and I wanted a way to stay home with her but still be able to talk and visit with others. A store existed on the property in the 50’s and I wanted to revisit that idea so we got to work transitioning our garage into Two Lick Tiny Grocery. Mom had not been herself after some serious hospital stays and even had a hard time thinking and knowing what was going on around her. The day we put in the cash register, it was like a light switched and she was telling us how to run the complicated thing because she worked in 7-11 for several years. The store was a healing place for mom and she recovered enough to run the store when I returned to work. Mom loved the store and especially all of you. Year 2020 was so hard on her because I limited her time being around others and she cried several times when I refused her to be out in the store due to exposure to Covid. It was also a healing place for me after mom passed and with every hard event, it was God and my customers that lifted my spirits and got me through some of my toughest days. I appreciate all of you and will miss seeing you often but after 9 years and 11 months, I will be closing the Tiny Grocery. Several factors have played into this decision and it was a hard thing to do but it is time to close this chapter of my life and discover a new chapter. We will start the week of October 6th with a 25 percent off your total order sale and I am planning to close permanently on October 24th. There will be some more deep discounts as we roll through October until closing day so keep watching Facebook for updates. I wanted to share some pics with you of “over the years with Two Lick Tiny Grocery” below. Pics of products below may not represent what’s on our shelves now. Love, Renee
