Location: Kim's Kitchen - 2305 W Oak St, Palestine, TX 75801
Pay: $12.00–$15.00 per hour (based on experience and food safety knowledge)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend support
Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and package large batches of food for distribution to our store locations.
Maintain sanitation, health, and food safety standards at all times.
Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
Wash, cut, and prepare ingredients for cooking.
Measure ingredients according to recipes and production needs.
Maintain accurate cooking temperature logs.
Ensure all hot foods reach a minimum internal temperature of 165°F and cold foods are stored at 41°F or below.
Operate commercial kitchen equipment, including grills, deep fryers, ovens, proofers, vacuum sealers, meat slicers, mixers, and BBQ pits.
Verify prepared food meets quality and portion standards.
Organize inventory using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
Pack daily store delivery orders accurately.
Assist with weekly inventory counts and audits.
Help deliver food orders to store locations as needed.
Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred.
Previous commercial kitchen or food service experience is a plus but not required.
