A couple weeks ago I pickled quail eggs for the first time and the eggs were sooooo hard to peel!

After getting advice from yal I learned the secret to easy peel quail eggs is: VINEGAR!

This time I boiled the eggs for 4 minutes with a splash of vinegar, then transferred them to an ice bath with a little vinegar added there too. Peeling was still time consuming, but the difference was huge! I only had a few eggs stick compared to last time.
I'll definitely be using vinegar from now on. We may even invest in an automatic egg peeler because these little eggs were a hit! 🥚
I'm also tweaking the recipe a bit... The pickled eggs turned out good, but apparently they weren't nearly spicy enough for everyone around here 😆

Nathaniel's rabbits have been busy... 😆

Honey Bun welcomed 5 little bunnies on June 1! We held off on announcing them for a few days since her previous litter didn't make it, but she's doing an incredible job with these babies and they're growing fast! 🐰❤️

We'll be sharing another reel soon and could use some rabbit experts to help us guess the genders.
Do yal think we'll end up with more bucks or does?

Update on Louise...
Its been 2 weeks since Ruby's birth, and I thought by now Louise would be birthing her cousin... still impatiently waiting ⏳️
She also somehow she cut her eye on something pinned up last night 😩 Never a dull moment here 🥲

Continue to keep her in yals thoughts. We need all the positive vibes for a healthy baby 🤞🙏✨️

Good morning 🌞
The April hatchlings have officially moved in with my original call duck flock! We went from 5 ducks to 13, and so far everyone is getting along well. 🦆💦
The only downside... I may need to find homes for a couple of these boys before they start competing for the ladies. 😅
Duck people, what's your preferred drake-to-hen ratio? I'd love to hear what has worked best for your flock!

Unexpected find today... 😳
I found this hammerhead worm hanging out on one of the chicken waterers today. After doing a little research, I learned they're an invasive flatworm that feeds on earthworms and other beneficial soil creatures.
What surprised me most is that you're not supposed to cut them up because they can regenerate from pieces. 🤯
So this one was safely disposed of using the salt method.
