I released 10,000 lady bugs just over a week ago. Here are two lady bugs and a pupa doing their thing, looking for aphids.😊 They should be working on leaf hoppers now. The next release is scheduled for tonight. French Prunes are planted and wild blackberries are on the way. Both will draw in Anagrus wasps, extremely small and deadly to leaf hopper eggs. Green lacewings have been released over the years just for the leaf hopper control and seems to be working.

Gewurztraminer looking good. The grapes came out of a very gentle winter/spring. Unfortunately that wasn't the case for all fruit.

Transferring the last of the Syrah to it's home for the next year, a new French Oak barrel. All the wines are in new French oak barrels and the vineyard has been prepared, as well as can be, for the winter.

Good morning!
I was heading out to work in the vineyard but got a little delayed due to this view. Grapes are looking so good. Chardonnay should be first off the vines but the Cabernet Franc won't be far behind. It's going to be a hermosa weekend!
