The Colorado Department of Agriculture USDA Specialty Crops Block Grant Program has awarded funding to Colorado Association for Viticulture and Enology (CAVE) for the project titled Palisade Fruit & Wine Trail. This project will develop tourism infrastructure that increases diffusion of tourism throughout the Palisade area agricultural enterprises including orchards, vineyards, wineries, agri-tour
ism businesses and the Town of Palisade. This plan will address sustainable integration of tourism into the area economic and social structures. This effort will develop physical and digital signage as well as electronic and virtual access to the Palisade Fruit & Wine Trail that is integrated with the Town of Palisade and Chamber of Commerce. The goal is to pull traffic from I-70, US 6, the Front Range of Colorado, Utah and surrounding states and direct it to area businesses and points of interest. The Palisade Fruit & Wine Trail is accessible by car, bike and pedestrian traffic and on the web.
