🌮 Fidel’s in Palisade — A Delicious Night Out! 🍹
Our night at Fidel’s started a little unexpectedly. We were greeted outside by the sweetest, kindest server who said say hello and chatted with us about the windy weather. It was such a warm welcome!
Once we moved inside, though, the experience was a little different. We stood at the hostess stand for several minutes before anyone acknowledged us. The hostess was helping guests in front of us, but never made eye contact or offered a quick “Hi, I’ll be right with you.” Even a little acknowledgment would have made a difference. Once she helped us with our reservation, she let us know our table would be ready momentarily and they seated us exactly at our reservation time, which was appreciated. I definitely recommend a reservation many guests walking in had a long wait time.
From that point on, the experience was exceptional!
Our server was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. She could answer every question we had and made great recommendations.
We started with the Deconstructed Elote Street Corn with Casab Blanco Cajita cheese and tortilla chips topped with carne asada meat. SO delicious! 🌽 Definitely something I’d order again.
I went with the house margarita. It was good, although the tequila wasn’t quite my favorite. My husband, on the other hand, ordered the Añejo half-shot flight, and he absolutely loved all of them.
For dinner, we went with tacos. He ordered the Bomb Ass Fish Tacos, made with wahoo, and I went with the Pork Carnitas Tacos. Both were packed with flavor and made for the perfect casual dinner in Palisade.
Overall, Fidel’s gave us a really fun evening, great food, an excellent server and a menu that made us want to come back and try more.
Sometimes the first five minutes don’t tell the whole story and in this case, the rest of the night definitely made up for the slow welcome! ❤️🌮👍
