🔥🌑 Solar Eclipse in Leo — a little fire energy on the farm! 🌑🔥
Today’s Solar Eclipse in fiery Leo began mid-morning, which feels like the perfect day to share one of the ways we use a little fire of our own at the farm. 🔥🌱
Squash bugs! If you grow organically, you know what a battle these little guys can be. Instead of spraying our squash plants with harmful chemicals, we use a flame torch. A very quick, carefully controlled hit of flame kills the squash bugs almost immediately — without coating our plants, soil, or food in pesticides.
It’s one of those simple tools that can be a great solution for organic farmers when used carefully and at the right stage of the crop.
So on this fiery Leo eclipse day, we’re putting that fire energy to work: clearing out what doesn’t belong, protecting what we’re growing, and letting the good stuff thrive. 🔥🦁🌑🌱

There’s a whole lot that happens behind the scenes around here! 🌱🍅💪
Between bringing in the harvest each week, maintaining the gardens, keeping everything growing through these hot summer days, running the Farm Stand, and turning what we grow into our value-added products… this little crew stays BUSY!
We work hard, we get dirty, we laugh a lot, and we absolutely kick butt together. ❤️ There’s something pretty special about a team that can jump in wherever they’re needed and keep this farm growing, harvesting, creating and moving forward. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

He’s hardworking, thoughtful, and has quickly become such a wonderful part of our farm team.

Dog Days of Summer ☀️🌻🍅
The long, hot days of July are here, and while we’re soaking up every sunrise and sunset on the farm, we have to admit... many of our conversations between harvesting, weeding, and watering somehow end up dreaming about fresh powder, snowboards, cozy fireplaces, and hibernating until spring. ❄️🏂
But until then, we’re making the most of summer’s abundance!
This week’s farm stand is overflowing with beautiful, fresh-picked produce, fragrant flowers, and all the vibrant flavors that only July can bring. Every early morning and late evening spent in the fields is worth it when we get to share this harvest with our community.

We've had a few hot, smoky, and windy days lately, but the farm just keeps growing! 🌻🍅

Our fields are overflowing with gorgeous vegetables, fresh-picked fruit, and beautiful flowers. If you're looking for a colorful centerpiece this Fourth of July, our blooms are a wonderful (and much quieter!) alternative to fireworks.
