Bunny, the best mama hen there ever was, hatched these 2 little Mille Fleur D’Uccle’s and I’m REALLY hoping one is a rooster because they are just the cutest things ever. Can’t wait to see their fluffy French faces when they grow up! 🐓

This sweet little mouse face is the last piggy left from Penelope’s litter. He is in the house now, litter box trained, and loves his Cheerios. I wanted to give the nursery pen to Snickerdoodle and her tiny babies and I didn’t want this guy to be out there all alone so he’s in here with us until he finds his forever home! Whooooo needs a piggy pig?!?!?!

We are officially on piglet watch.

This poor pig. It’s a bitter sweet situation because while we always love having babies on the farm, this poor mama did not need to get pregnant again so quickly. She was a bad mom to her first litter. She rejected them and tried to attack them, despite my best efforts to get her to love them.

Luckily, Snickerdoodle had babies the day before her and was more than happy to adopt her little orphan babies.

BUT, because she refused to feed her babies, her milk dried up within a week and she went into heat right away, which drove my boar CRAZY. He busted through her enclosure and unfortunately got to her 😫

So, here we are. 3 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days later, ready for some new baby piglets.

My heart hurts for Penelope. She had no time to recover and now has to be pregnant, and deliver this litter in the blistering heat of summer.

We are prepared and will be there to help her through it but I can’t help but feel bad for the poor girl. 🐷

Also, if she rejects them this time, there’s no backup pig mom. Just me. So I’m REALLY hoping she changes her tune and decides to love this bunch.

The piggies are every so grateful that my children barely eat 🐷🌮
