From its humble beginnings in southeast Florida, JW Turf Farms has been producing and distributing premium products across the SunshineState. Founded by the Prescotts, Lourdes and Warren Sr., JW Turf Farms began as a row cropping operation in 1987. In 1988, the Prescott family expanded operations to include the cultivation and distribution of improved turfgrasses. The immediate success of turf production was so overwhelming, the Prescotts decided to stop growing row crops and focus on turfgrass. Twenty years later, JW Turf Farms has expanded into a top quality sod harvesting facility, encompassing over 1,600 acres of land.

It is with heavy hearts that our family and team shares the news of the passing of Alicia Belo, longtime friend and 30+ year employee of JW Turf Farms. Our sincerest prayers are with her family during this time. Alicia was known as a kind, selfless, hardworking, and optimistic person. She encouraged and motivated others to do and be their best. She was so proud of and adored her beautiful daughters. She cherished time spent with them and her husband, as well as her extended family and friends. Her joy and love for others was infectious, and our lives are forever blessed from knowing her. We pray she is finally at peace with her Heavenly Father after her longtime battle with cancer.
