Palm Springs Bottle Shop presents ELIOT GLAZER — writer, comedian, performer, and author of The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Gay — for an afternoon of reading, conversation, cocktails, and (obviously) books.

Eliot will be joined in conversation by H. Alan Scott of the Soft Serve Podcast, followed by a book signing.

And it wouldn’t be a PSBS event without slushies! The Pink Bar will be open from 2–6 PM. Come early for a drink, stay for Eliot, get your book signed, do a little shopping, and hang out with us afterward.

Palm Springs Bottle Shop is thrilled to announce a special literary event with celebrated comedian, writer, and author Eliot Glazer on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Glazer—best known for his role on Broad City and his writing for hit shows like New Girl, Younger, and The Boys—will present a live reading, Q&A, and book signing for his instant bestseller, The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Gay.
The event offers a perfect afternoon intermission for design and culture enthusiasts navigating their Modernism Week touring schedules. The book will be available for purchase directly from Palm Springs Bottle Shop’s “Poolside Reads” section, and guests can enjoy specially paired drinks from PSBS throughout the afternoon at the Pink Bar inside MarketMarket. Glazer’s essay collection has received enthusiastic praise from comedians, writers, and critics for its sharp, witty, and honest look at not fitting into modern gay culture.
The afternoon will be moderated by H. Alan Scott—writer, comedian, and Senior Editor at Large for Newsweek— and promises to be an engaging and humorous discussion with Glazer before opening the floor to audience questions. The event also celebrates the dynamic duo’s latest collaboration: Glazer and Scott are co-hosts of the new podcast Soft Serve, which launches just ahead of the store event. Following the conversation, attendees may have their copies of the book personally signed by the author.
