Marinko’s desserts is a new gluten-free, plant-based Bay Area company that creates organic desserts which boost health and help save our environment.

We are looking for an energetic sales assistant to work at our California Avenue Farmers' Market location in Palo Alto. We will be open on Sundays between 8am-1pm. We are also hiring for our Montclair, Oakland farmers' market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Selling desserts.
- Providing potential customers with samples.
- Communicating Marinko’s Desserts' business values to customers.
- Acquiring customer feedback.
- Using POS for card payments and cash handling.
- Assisting in market set-up, tear down, and signage.

Requirements:
- Experience in a customer sales role (at a market or a similar setting is an asset).
- Strong people and communication skills.
- Early morning person with energy and enthusiasm.
- Familiar with vegan/gluten-free diet and food.
- Strong passion for local, seasonal, and organic food.
- Experience using POS system (Square) and in cash handling.
- A team player with excellent communication skills.
- Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure.
- Physical capacity to stand for 5 hours and work rain or shine.
- Comfortable with outdoor manual labor and able to lift up to 30 lbs.
