Gracewater Farm We are a small family-run organic farm raising chickens for eggs and meat.

The turkey mom takes her littles out to free range in the backyard every day. Then she decides to just hunker down somewhere for the night. This isn't a safe decision, so every evening we have to go turkey hunting.
Tonight was blessedly easy. She wasn't far away, and we were able to herd her, with babies staying close, back into their space. Then get the poults in a corner, scoop them up, and place into the brooder box and close the lid.

Yesterday's big windstorm decided it was time for us to remodel the chicken yard.
We've cleaned up the mess and are still deciding what to do now.

Garlic has been getting harvested slowly, as each plant is ready. This group grew from a bulb that was missed last year....

Garlic has been getting harvested slowly, as each plant is ready. This group grew from a bulb that was missed last year. Sometimes the new growth bulbs end up being smaller, but such was not the case this time!
