Well the hunters are on the road home, as are some of the support, or guides, or maybe just people who help. Here is the “crew” the folks who start prepping weeks ahead of each hunt. The ones who start showing up and doing the hundreds of small tasks that must be done prior to a hunt. Here they are with most of “camp” put up. These folks are the backbone of a hunt. There is a similar crew for every hunt. They just show up, maybe a few phone calls, but most just show up and get to work. And they show up to take it down. Some of these folks are around during the hunt guiding, cooking, dressing game, or just picking up and putting up. Without these people these events would not happen. Thanks be to the Good Lord for these folks and His guidance.

It’s hunt week for the Staurolite foundation. We kick off the year with a Pronghorn hunt. We covet your prayers for the hunters Marcus, Casey, Lorenzo, Dennis, & Robert. We ask you to pray for the support staff, all the people who volunteer their time, expertise, energy, and pay their own expenses to serve this weekend. Please pray for safety for all, for the Good Lord to be glorified, and His purposes to be accomplished in us all and through us. Thanks for your support!

Here’s a few pictures from the recent fishing trip. Appreciate your prayers. The weather has been a bit interesting the last couple of years. No complaints even though we got rained out one day and had a tropical storm just offshore the day we left. It was a great trip. And we even caught some fish. Thanks to those who brought their boat, the folks who were there to serve, and to Ed and Laurie for the use of their cabin. Lord willing we will do it again.

All of us who regularly are on these trips often discuss ( maybe argue 🤠) about whether the fishing trip is the last one of the previous season or the start up for a new season. Thanks to the Favour of the Good Lord, we have become year round. Here’s a few pictures from last year. Please keep all the attendees, the guys bringing their boats and “guiding”, and all the rest of us in your prayers. Lord willing we start the trek south Thursday. The guys arrive Sunday. We hope to fish Monday and Tuesday. Thanks for your support.

All you guys who have been on a pheasant hunt with Spring Creek Outfitters and everyone else. Sonya cooks for the hunters, her husband Andy and son Tristan are the outfitters. I’m not sure if you’ve seen, but Pete’s Place (Sonja’s bar) is being recognized as a top 10 finalist for the made in America contest put on by Fox News!! They would LOVE a vote from you guys if you’ve got the time.
