Maybe we should tell the Attorney General to skip Tallahassee and head down to Wakulla for a good meal?
Florida AG says city is 'hurting for good food spots.' Where should he visit?

Recently, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier raised some eyebrows during a lighthearted discussion about cheesesteaks in a recent episode of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ podcast series, “Diners, Drive-ins & DeSantis.” The conversation turned to the Capital City's dining scene, when Uthmeier quipped that “Tallahassee is hurting for good food spots.” That struck a nerve with some residents who are passionate about their favorite eateries, helping turn an offhand comment into a spirited debate over the best places to grab a meal in Leon County.
Now, the Tallahassee Democrat wants to hear from you: Where should Uthmeier go to experience the best that the capital’s dining scene has to offer?
We're not just looking for white-tablecloth dining or the usual local legends. Tell us about the hidden gems, neighborhood favorites, food trucks, family-owned spots, bakeries, barbecue joints, breakfast counters, taco stands, lunch cafes and late-night go-to places that keep you coming back. If there's a newer restaurant that deserves more attention, we'd love to hear about that, too.
