We nearly had a late frost this morning. Snapdragons, lettuce, ranunculus, & strawberries are unbothered. Loving the sun rays on the snapdragons in the early hours. ๐Ÿ’œ๐ŸŒฑ

How to protect your cut flowers from freezing weather โฌ‡๏ธ

This is my diy version of a caterpillar tunnel for raised beds. Iโ€™m only worried about protecting ranunculus, anemone, & snapdragons. โ„๏ธ

1. Edge your beds with leaves for insulation on the edges. Use dry leaves. At least a few inches. Donโ€™t press them down hard.

2. Use what you have! It doesnโ€™t have to be cute, it just needs to work. Heavy t-posts and bricks are great, but I donโ€™t have many, so I use anything heavy from my patio, garage, & home to hold down the frost cloth. Blankets, sheets, tablecloths work great for insulation if you donโ€™t have frost cloth.

Hope you & your plant babies stay warm flower friends!
