Goats seem to love all the prickly and pokey plants! This particular vine has a way of snagging at your clothes as you walk by. Super prickly to try and disengage from it. It’s very satisfying to see the goats completely destroy it.

Sweet momma has the waddle down! Cannot wait to see if we will have a bull calf or a little heifer!

This girl is ready to pop any day! We are so excited to have a baby calf on the farm!!! Keeping fingers crossed for smooth delivery. This will be the cows 3rd calf.

Without Royal, our border collie, we would have seriously struggled this past month. He has helped us so much with herding goats in the middle of the night after the tornado to moving animals from paddock to paddock while we clean up. So thankful to have this guy by our side through all of the chaos.

This was a tough loss for the farm. We wanted to protect the remaining chickens we had left after the tornado wiped out so many. We set them up with a hay wagon for sun and aerial protection along with a poultry electric fence for all the other predators. Keeping fingers crossed we can keep the remaining going for a few more weeks.

We were hit by another storm, luckily this one brought a torrential downpour instead of a tornado. I’ve never seen so much water flowing to our pond. The creek that runs through our property is full and water is gushing by. So far this spring the weather has brought a tornado, hail and now flooding. What’s next Mother Nature?! exploring

I can’t believe it’s been one week since the tornado went through our farm. The damage it left in its wake is overwhelming and will take years to recover from. There have been tears, laughter and much gratitude. In the weeks to come we hope to continue with clean up and rebuild fencing for our animals with hopes to build back better than before.
