Swallowtail caterpillar hotel. Our giant fennel inside our hoop house has been housing and feeding many pollinators.
The most popular one is the Swallowtail butterfly. 🦋

This has been an especially buggy growing season. There is a definite upside to this, but for this season, we seem to be a step behind a lot. Every year, there are new challenges and lessons to be learned or re-learned in many cases with me!

Don't give up growing! So many people around us are sharing their experiences and ideas through workshops, classes, online, at community centers. Farmers markets and more. Just reach out and try something new.

Growing anything is a process.
You can do it!

Our garlic is looking so good again this year, and we are grateful. A couple more rows to go, and we will have all of our garlic harvested!

This will be our largest harvest ever!
Over 1,500 cloves were planted last fall! Reach out if you need some beautifully flavorful fresh garlic to eat or to grow!

These are some photos taken on our farm yesterday & today.

Happy Zinnias, tomatoes in the hoop house, hot peppers in the hoop house, alyssum & nasturtium, celery, green onions w/ a mean solanaceous w**d, beets, fennel, Swiss chard, pansies, mixed greens, dill, cilantro, GIANT fennel, and cherry tomatoes in the hoop house.

Soon, we will be harvesting our hardneck garlic. So much w**ding to do in the onion bed! I meant to mulch with hay or straw before the w**ds took over, but nope! We win some and lose, or struggle to win others, but we keep on doing it all cause we love it!

Weeding is zen for me. Hours will go by, and I only hear the birds. Peace.💚

Hoop house is full!

Our last bed is filled with a variety of peppers, celery, herbs, and ginger!
