🏵️ Unpopular opinion: zinnias are not my favorite flowers. I know people get so excited about them, but I'm not that person. I find them unruly, which translates to harder harvesting and less usable stems. Plus their tiny hairs make my skin itch endlessly, Japanese beetles have a perpetual love affair with them, and sometimes they just do not want to last as long as I hope they will in a vase.
All that being said - there's something undeniably irresistible about a bucket full of zinnias. It signals that we are in the midst of summer - late sunsets, fire flies, hot days, feet in the grass, and vacation. Benary Giant, Agave, Oklahoma, and Queeny Lime, we've got them all, and they are living their best life in this heat wave.
Catch these juicy beauties in our bouquets all weekend long. We'll have them in our farm shop (open Friday to Sunday, 10 am to 6 pm), at the Colby_Farms pop up Friday (3-6 pm, 11003 S 48th St, Papillion), at the Plattsmouth Community Market Saturday (8-11 am, Plattsmouth Bible Church parking lot), and we'll do a fresh drop Friday at TakeRoot Farm Stop.
