We've been more hammer than nail so far this season. 95% planted, sprayed up, and our March beans likely were saved by a crust-breaking rain overnight. As always, I'd rather be lucky than good!

Few things lift the spirit quite like some 80 degree warm spells. Great weather means planting season is close, so we were overdue to start on servicing equipment. It doesn't hurt to have a (mostly) pleasant workforce! Everyone is excited for Spring to arrive... I'm guessing some soybeans will be planted within a few days locally.

Most importantly, today is my wonderful Wife's Birthday. Lennon, Graham, Harrison, our various assortment of animals, and I are incredibly lucky to have such a beautiful, caring, and sweet lady to keep us all in line. Happy Birthday!

Our crew was privileged to have the opportunity to travel east in order to celebrate a family member's life, legacy, and service through burial at Arlington National Cemetery. As a lifelong flatlander, I found the hills, rangelands, and mountains beyond Ohio mesmerizing. History and heritage are abundant along the way, from the old farmsteads to the monuments and museums in DC.

Spring is approaching, so I'll take this as an opportunity to emerge from hibernation...
