Rock Creek Angus

Rock Creek Angus Registered Angus cattle developed on the forage of a creek bottom in Northeast Arkansas. Rock Creek Angus began with a couple cows and a dream.

Now, twenty years later, Tommy and Pam Jumper have built more than just a ranch on this place, they've built a family. Rock Creek Angus is a family affair; there's no doubt about it. Being the stewards of the land and cattle does more than bring the family together, it encourages their family testimony: Seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God.

We put Lucchese’s dam and daughters in the picture pen this morning.

Tipping our hat to Mark Sims for turning generations of breeding decisions into images that showcase them.

“Bulls think all there is to it is breeding cows and tearing up fences… but does anyone know how long before we wean a calf off the cow?”

Had the pleasure of hosting Leadership Paragould this morning, a diverse group of industry leaders from our hometown. Tommy took the opportunity to talk about the unsung heroes - the Angus cow.

That’s why Rock Creek Angus is Arkansas’s Maternal Herd.

We are so very proud of Tyler M. Jumper for passing the epidemiology board exam - a huge accomplishment! Our family and ranch are fortunate to have her a phone call away.

Dr. Tyler Jumper, an Assistant Teaching Professor within the Department of Pathobiology and Population Medicine, has passed her Epidemiology Specialty boards! This is an additional qualification on top of her American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine board certification.

Epidemiology involves the study of disease patterns within an entire population, especially the causes of a disease and the ways in which it spreads. Through her work in the farm animal clinic, Dr. Jumper is helping to diagnose and prevent outbreaks or decreased production in large groups of animals.

The MSU College of Veterinary Medicine now has seven boarded epidemiologists with several other program alumni spread throughout the nation. They represent more than 10% of all Epidemiology diplomates and continue to make a massive impact in their field.

Day 3: Heat Index 113. Had a G-model struggle today, and Dr. Martin Holsinger helped us get her doctored and hydrated quickly. Everyone else is okay, just melting.

Thank you Dr. Holsinger.

LUCCHESE

The heir apparent…but even more!

Lucchese is taking the industry by storm as the go to replacement for his late sire PATRIARCH while offering more in terms of phenotype, performance and with an extra generation of maternal potency backing him. His first sons to be offered to the public were gathered up quickly at Rock Creek Angus and he sired the top seller at the 2026 Gartner-Denowh bull sale. LUCCHESE offers a fault free kind with added muscle, substance and bone for a bull with his degree of calving ease. Backed by generations of pathfinder sires and the maternal kind the GDAR and RC prefixes stand for; there is no question why LUCCHESE is one of the most widely used and sought after young bulls in the breed.
