Wish we could post all the amazing photos of huge litters (we do have some pretty nice ones on the ground), but sometimes this is the best you get. 2:30am, exhausted after a long vet call, c-section, and just getting a handful out alive. Here’s hoping a few make it after we put them on another sow that farrowed last night. Unfortunately, this is the reality sometimes. But when you truly care, you do the best you can. We tried to save all we could. The reality of raising livestock is hard, but we keep going even through the tough times.

It’s Pork Month and National Farmer’s Day! Farming has always been a cornerstone of our family. It’s tough and often unappreciated, but it’s a lifestyle that has been in our family for generations. The connection to the land and livestock, and the resilience to endure hard times defines who we are. It’s something we deeply respect and our proud to pass on to our kids. We just want to take a moment to thank all of you who trust our family to continue to provide wholesome products for your table or show pigs that help shape the future of our youth.

Moved the first set of babies over to their new home! No fancy chip barn, but they didn’t seem to care. Already friendly and partially kid trained and we didn’t even need marshmallows yet 😉Barn will open March 1st and they’ll be ready to go!
