Another chapter has been written in the storied history of Runnymede Farm.

Mage, bred by Robert Clay's Grandview Equine from a mating of Good Magic to his GSP stakes-winning mare Puca (Big Brown), becomes the 6th American Classic winner to be bred and/or raised on the rolling grounds of Runnymede, Kentucky's oldest continually operated Thoroughbred nursery. The chestnut c**t also is the third Kentucky Derby winner, following Ben Brush, a member of the Racing Hall of Fame, and Count Turf.

Congratulations to all the connections of Mage. It has been the highest honor to raise this c**t and to consign him to the Keeneland September sale where he was purchased for $235,000 by New Team.

All good wishes and hopes that Mage will continue to earn many more laurels during his racing career and add further luster to roster of elite runners who have called Runnymede home.

Exciting new filly!

With our partner, Haras d'Etreham, we acquired this weanling Speightstown filly at the ARQANA bloodstock sale in France. Her pedigree is impressive as she is a full sister to G1pl GSW Bobby's Wicked One, and her dam, the Ghostzapper mare Wicked Charm, is a half sister to champion, MG1 winner and highly successful sire English Channel.

Additionally, the filly's dam is a half sister to the dam of G2 winner & MG1pl Lucida, who placed in 5 G1 races in Europe including the 2015 1000 Guineas when she was edged by 3/4 of a length by Legatissimo.

The filly's 3rd dam is French G1 winner Committed, who reigned as a champion in France and England on four occasions and who produced USA G1 winner Pharma.

Bred by Sheikh Abdullah Almaddah, the filly was offered as part of the dispersal of Marbat LLC.

Catching up on an exciting maiden victory this week by Dulce Ambicion, a 2yo filly by Kitten's Joy who is the first foal out of our young and well-bred mare Cumbria (Distorted Humor).

Bred with partners including Kilshannig Stud & Meridian International, Dulce Ambicion endured what the Equibase chart caller reported was a "brutal trip" when unplaced in her all-weather track debut on October 7 at Gulfstream Park. Entered back for a one mile, 70-yard all-weather Gulfstream event against eight rivals on December 1, the chestnut broke slowly and was last through the first half-mile but ranged up toward the front while five-wide on the far turn and drew clear for a 1 1/2-length win.

From the female family of highly influential sire Fappiano, Cumbria is a half sister to SW & MGSP Maximova. Since producing Dulce Ambicion in 2020, Cumbria has delivered a now yearling filly by Catholic Boy named Marquette Warrior and a weanling c**t by Kantharos, and she was bred back to Omaha Beach.

Here's one to watch: fancy, white-splashed Rally Board, Runnymede-bred, raised and sold with our partners, finished 2nd today in his debut in a maiden special weight race at Fair Grounds Race Course and Slots. His pedigree is also fancy as he is by Into Mischief out of Smashing Serena, a daughter of champion Serena's Song's full sister, the appropriately named Serena's Sister.

Rally Board looked fairly green, breaking from the rail and dropping back to last early in the field of 6 as Machine Gun Man sped to an uncontested early lead.

Getting into the spirit of his name, Rally Board gained ground on the inside as the field headed into the stretch of the 6f dash but found himself in tight quarters. He persevered and pushed past rival Amanwalksintoabar to grab the runner-up spot, 1 1/2 lengths behind the winning pacesetter.

Rally Board has a great team behind him as he is owned by Spendthrift Farm in partnership with lots of other prominent participants including Steve Landers Racing, Martin Schwartz, Michael Dubb, Ten Strike Racing and others. Trained by Brad Cox, we hope we will see Rally Board in a winner's circle soon.

Stonewall Star, who won today's Key Cents Stakes at Aqueduct, took us on a time machine ride back more than a decade.

Her dam, Jonata (Proud Citizen), was bred by and raised at Runnymede prior to her sale to Barry Schwartz for $100,000 as a yearling in 2011. Not only did Jonata turn into a nice racehorse, winning twice and placing five times while earning $140,800, she obviously proved to be a very nice broodmare. Stonewall Star, a juvenile filly, is a full sister to multiple stakes winner La Fureza, with both sired by Flatter, and both Jonata's other two foals also are winners.

Although racing and breeding are not reliably predictable, Jonata's success is not a surprise as her dam, Romp and Stomp (Olympio), a half sister to Breeders' Cup Classic winner Volponi, was a gem of a broodmare. She produced 6 foals, all of whom raced and were winners, including 2 black-type winners and 2 black-type placers including G1pl GSW Pinch Pie (Victory Gallop). Another of Romp and Stomp's offspring was Zvyozdny Put (Street Sense), who was a Russian MG1 winner.

Congratulations to Barry Schwartz and his Stonewall Farm for breeding and racing Stonewall Star from Runnymede-bred, raised and sold Jonata.

It's a long way from foal to winner, but 2yo c**t Prowling Tiger has been a standout since he was born and today he strode into the winner's circle with aplomb.

Making his second start after notching a good closing second in his debut over 1 1/16 miles on October 23, Prowling Tiger leapt out of the starting gate and set most of the pace in a maiden special weight event on turf at Laurel Park. The son of the late Kitten's Joy out of champion Lady Eli's MGSW half sister Bizzy Caroline then displayed the heart of his family by drawing away from rivals after briefly being headed in the stretch. The c**t clearly relished stretching out to 1 1/8 miles and crossed the finish line 1 3/4 lengths in front of second-placed Great Skill.

Congratulations to all Prowling Tiger's connections: owners Burning Daylight Farms & Rebecca Galbraith, who purchased the c**t from our consignment at Keeneland last year for $190,000; trainer Arnaud Delacour, and jockey Jorge Ruiz.

Bizzy Caroline's first two foals also were winners and her most recent offspring are a yearling c**t by Twirling Candy named Sweet Odyssey who sold for $220,000 in September and a weanling c**t by Not This time.

Lots to look forward to with Prowling Tiger and his relatives in this long-established Runnymede family of renown.

Rallying from off the pace under Jose Ortiz, 3yo Giant's Fire (Gun Runner) prevailed over five rivals to win a 6 1/2-furlong maiden special weight event at Aqueduct on Friday.

The handsome chestnut c**t, bred by Runnymede with partners including Peter Callahan & Haras d'Etreham, thus becomes the first winner for well-bred broodmare Esprit de Vie, a daughter of Street Cry out of MGSW Irresistible Jewel (Danehill) and a half sister to G1 winner Royal Diamond & full sister to MGSW and G1-placed Princess Highway.

Giant's Fire was sold for $510,000 as a yearling and is trained by John Terranova for William L. Mack and Christina Baker. Racing under a showery sky, Giant's Fire crossed the finish line a neck in front of Klaravich Stable's Opportunity Set (Classic Empire) in time of 1:19.87 on a track rated fast.

Juvenile filly U Glow Girl delivered a beautifully-timed advertisement for our Fasig-Tipton October yearling consignment as she rushed from just off the pace to win a 6f allowance race today at Horsehoe Indianapolis.

A Runnymede pinhook sold to owner Steve Landers at last year's Fasig October sale, the daughter of Girvin was regarded by fans as the odds-on favorite in the 8-filly field and she lived up to that billing under jockey Marcelino Pedroza Jr. even while racing greenly.

U Glow Girl has now won half her four starts and has earned over $78,000, well above her $50,000 sale price.

Congratulations to all her connections, including the excellent management by trainer Brad H. Cox Racing Stable. U Glow Girl had previously won a maiden special weight event at Saratoga Race Course in August.

Making her second career start a triumphant one on Sunday, Runnymede homebred Sign of Peace surged from just off the pace to prevail in a one-mile maiden special weight event on the turf at Hawthorne Race Course.

Trained by Brendan Walsh and ridden by Jane Elliott, Sign of Peace crossed the finish line in 1:36.09 on the course rated firm to defeat favored Kathaan by a half-length in the field of 10.

A robust chestnut 3yo filly with a broad blaze, Sign of Peace is by Declaration of War out of Avaricity, by Carson City. She is a half sister to English GSW Archbishop (Arch) and from the immediate family of Irish Derby winner, champion and sire Law Society.

Showing once again that he is as consistent a racehorse as anyone could wish for, Runnymede pinhooking graduate Gran Runner secured his 4th career victory today in a 6f allowance/optional claimer at Delaware Park with a last-to-first rush that got him to the wire in front by a head.

Sent off as the fourth choice in the field of six at odds of 5.10-to-1, Gran Runner was not far off the early pace even though behind all his rivals. Sent into the middle of the track for his rally, the son of was still next-to-last at the stretch call but unleashed ground-devouring strides to get the win under Jaime Rodriguez.

Gran Runner now owns a record of 18 starts, 4 wins, 7 seconds and 4 thirds with earnings of $168,510. Congrats to all his connections, including owner Granpollo Stable and trainer Victor Barboza Jr.
