Stonereath Stud

The Farm Stonereath Stud is located at 2529 Georgetown Road (Hwy 460), Paris, KY (Bourbon County). It was purchased by the Berglar family in May 2011. The farm is situated on 255 acres of the best horse-land in Kentucky. The facilities include 4 barns with 59 stalls, a walker, lunging ring, parade ring, etc. that offer a perfect environment to breed race horses. Stonereath Stud is open to a limited number of private boarders along with our own broodmare band. Our broodmare band consists partly of mares with an European background. The 2011 Kentucky Derby winner, ANIMAL KINGDOM, was a bonus because of his German female line. NIGHT LAGOON, champion 2-year-old filly in Germany 2003, dam of 2012 multiple Graded Stakes winner NOVELLIST and 2013 Derby hopeful NUNTIUS, and the young exciting broodmare PATINEUSE (from the family of Peintre Celebre), dam of PROTECTIONIST (3rd hwt. 2-year-old in Germany in 2012), have only recently joined Stonereath. SQILLO whose half-sister is the dam of the 2005 Breeders' Cup Turf winner SHIROCCO and WEEKEND FLING, a half-sister to ARCHARCHARCH have joined our broodmare band in addition to other mares with international backgrounds.
