Phew… it’s been a WEEK! 😅

The end of the school year always kicks our butts, and we’re still trying to finish planting on top of it all!

Weekends are no different around here. We know it’s our only “officially” open time, but with pig shows, swim lessons, golf lessons and all the summer chaos, we’re doing our best to be as accommodating as possible — and we truly appreciate you all sticking with us through it!

If there’s ever a time you can’t make it during normal hours, PLEASE reach out! We’re home most evenings and are more than happy to work something out. Just know there’s a good chance I’ll be coming straight from the pig barn in an oversized t-shirt, messy hair, and barn boots… but honestly, that’s pretty much my weekend uniform anyway! 🤪

Tonight was Kade’s 5th grade band concert, and wow — those kids did an amazing job! ❤️

Boone started infant rescue swim lessons last week, which means 4 days a week for the next 6–10 weeks 😅

And Jones? He’s just along for the ride as long as there are snacks involved. 😂

This weekend will look a lot like most around here — pig show Saturday — but we WILL be OPEN Sunday from 1–5! Stop by and stock up! 🐖🥓

We’re going to be a little more conservative with our time this year, so we won’t be attending as many markets as we did last year.

But our first one is right around the corner…

Did you know there’s “waste” when bacon is sliced?!

To get those perfect strips, the ends are trimmed off and tossed into a pile — but around here, we don’t like waste.

That’s why we carry bacon ends!

They’re perfect for green beans, potato salad, seven layer salad, and this morning’s favorite… breakfast burritos. Just slice the ends a little thinner, fry them up, and you’ve got the best crispy bacon bits.

I save the pretty strips for breakfast and BLTs — and use the bacon ends for just about everything else!

We’re OPEN today 1-5 pm!
